What is a nurse practitioner?
A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) who has completed advanced education (a minimum of a master’s degree) and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions, including chronic disease, mental health, and acute illness. A nurse practitioner can serve as a patient’s regular primary care provider (PCP).
At ICARENP, our nurse practitioners are trained to take care of your complex individual health care needs. Our nurse practitioners can prescribe medications, order testing and labs, and make referrals if needed.
